Perceptiveness

Perceive means "to see"; so, perceptive is a word to describe someone who is good at seeing. Perceptive is derived from the Latin word “percipere” which means "to obtain or gather." A perceptive person is good at gathering information and using his or her senses to take in the world. If you are upset but trying to hide it, a perceptive person is the one who will notice.

Example of the entrepreneur who has perceptiveness is Tan Sri Azman Hashim. Tan Sri Dato’ Azman has seen an opportunity to become an entrepreneur since his work in OL Messrs Haines & Co. as charted accountant after returning to Malaysia. He started his own accountancy firm and was named as Azman Wong Salleh & co. He also saw the opportunity to become one of the Board of Malayan Banking in 1966 and became executive chairman Kwong Yik Bank in 1980 after which he took the opportunity to become Chairman of AmBank Group in 1982 until now. He sees every aspect needed to achieve success to the extent that he wanted to do.
